There's now less than 50 days until the festival on Satuday 6th June! Some updates for you:

Official 2015 poster selected

Many congratulations indeed to Emily Wilcock (Class 8F, King’s School) who is the Festival’s 2015 poster winner! You can see her beautiful artwork on the home page of our site, and it is now in the process of being made into posters and fliers. The theme this year was “Klimt”, and some wonderful pieces were submitted by nearly 50 King’s students.

Food FestivalCongratulations all on some great work, particularly the “top 6” finalists, being: Emily, Jodie May Smith, Esmee Gregorius, Naomi Gammon, Jordon Weddell, and Emma Bateson

However, the judges were unanimous in their agreement that Emily had caught the ess-ence of Klimt’s work, whilst also managing to incorporate the festival theme. Well done Emily, and look out for the posters around town soon.

Town Square Market confirmed

We are delighted to be able to report that the festival market is to be located in the heart of Ottery, in the square. Some fantastic traders have been confirmed, including Bloomberry Juice, The Camper Coffee Company, Chunk Pies, Otter Valley Dairy Ice Cream, and Good Game. We’re hungry already!

Escot Activites are coming to the Festival

Further to Busy Otters comm-itting to set up children's acti-vities in the Institute for the whole day, we are delighted to report that Escot is also going to provide some fantastic things for kids to get involved in. The outward bound centre will be providing their 'Green-wood Centre Pink Parachute' activities, their 'Wood Shave Horse' to make gypsy roses, wooden badge making and decorating and they may even bring their firebowl to toast marshmallows... subject to Health and Safety requirements!

The festival programme is on sale before and during the festival and provides an overview of all the activities taking place, the demonstrations, and also provides advertising space for local businesses to showcase their capabilities to festival goers.

A Plea for Volunteers!

If you have any spare time on Saturday 6 June - be that just an hour or two, and are able to help us make the festival fun and safe for everyone, please do get in touch with us via or our facebook page - if just a handful of Ottery locals got in touch that would make all the difference!
